Money and fame
One of my favorite sayings is that ” If you meet a person who does not care for money or fame, you realize how poor you are” .
Actually anywhere in the world, you do not need much money to be happy, to fulfill your basic needs like food, shelter and clothing. $100 dollars a month is more than enough is most developing countries. It is only when you want a lot of material possession, the fanciest car, plasma TV and other gadgets that all the problems are created. This is a major problem in a society where your status is defined by what you own, not the kind of person you are.
